Jeremy Szeluga, MPH, CHES

Safe Routes to School Coordinator

Jeremy joined our team in August 2019 as a Program Specialist. He coordinates and assists Safe Routes to School educational outreach programs within our service area. Jeremy provides bike and road safety education for school-aged children and assists in air-quality/anti-idling efforts to improve public health. His previous work experience with Healthier Somerset Coalition involved community health education programs and assisting the development of SMART objectives for their 2019 Community Health Improvement Plan. Jeremy’s interest in transportation started after working on access to care initiatives aimed at developing a more extensive transportation network to decrease traffic related health disparities and increase health care access for all populations.

Jeremy holds a Master of Public Health from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University. He has a background in community and college settings providing health education, program assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
