Fatima joined Avenues in Motion in 2025. As the Safe Routes to School Coordinator, she plans and assists in programs that lead to healthy and safe communities for students on their way to school and back. Amongst our most popular events are: Traffic Safety Town, bike rodeos, walk to school days, education programs, and an annual bookmark contest where kids do the designing. Fatima has a background in teaching, prevention work,  mental health education, and community building. She seeks to continue to bridge the gap between mental and physical health and community empowerment.
